About Me

My photo
I love writing. If you want to know anything else just ask me or else read up! I have two blogs ("A Pen Itching To Bleed Onto Paper" and "The Rebirth of J"). One of my blogs (A Pen...) is updated more frequently than the other. "The Rebirth” is more of a story I am writing with my life whereas "A Pen" would be my random thoughts past, present, and future in this unfolding journey I call life. If this is your first time reading my blog, please visit Post #2 for the month of April 2008 in my "A Pen" blog archives... Thanks!

Back in the day when I was young I'm not a kid anymore, but some days I sit and wish I was a kid again...!

Anybody remember that jam??

Yesterday I took a nice cruise down Memory Lane, Northern CA! lol I was in my hometown visiting my parents. My mom’s friends were visiting from LA. so they had a lil Q and so I cruised up for the day. I decided to go visit my old best friend whom I hadn’t seen in months. Prior to that I hadn’t seen him in a year or so.

So at first it was weird since I didn’t have much to say and neither did he. We just kind of sat there watching TV. We ate some food and we went to “post up” (stand and chill for you white folks, lol) outside. All of a sudden we started talking about the good’ol days. For anybody that doesn’t know me, my old days were filled with a lot of wrong stuff, that was fun at the time, lol. We started talking about old friends that we hadn’t been in contact with in years. We talked about fights that we got into, girls that we dated, and all of a sudden we started remembering our old inside jokes, our cruise routes and things that I never thought I told anybody I apparently told him We had a blast.

Seems like these days I mostly hang out with younger kids from the youth group and so I always feel like I have to be watching out for them or taking care of them. OR I’m hanging out with older square Christians that don’t really know how to have fun or loosen up…Or squares (hi lisi, lol) I’m 25! I should be able to have fun too!

Well either way, it was interesting to return to the town and mentally take a cruise down the drug and gang infested streets of the old neighborhood, relive old times, and share laughs with my old best friend. I should do that more often. Either way, I need to stop writing blogs and start having fun! Anybody wanna go watch Harold and Kumar with me? lol.
