About Me

My photo
I love writing. If you want to know anything else just ask me or else read up! I have two blogs ("A Pen Itching To Bleed Onto Paper" and "The Rebirth of J"). One of my blogs (A Pen...) is updated more frequently than the other. "The Rebirth” is more of a story I am writing with my life whereas "A Pen" would be my random thoughts past, present, and future in this unfolding journey I call life. If this is your first time reading my blog, please visit Post #2 for the month of April 2008 in my "A Pen" blog archives... Thanks!

30 Day Project: Day 18

Day 18: A picture of your favorite placeI guess my favorite place would have to be Chico, CA. I love cities like Monterey, Las Vegas, and San Diego and two of the three I have referred to as my "favorite cities" in the past and they truly are great places to hang out. But Chico holds a special place in my heart and always will. Chico, CA is the place where I went to school, spent great times, suffered through terrible times, met true friends, drank too much, ate some delicious food, explored, swam, jogged, played, worked, etc. I had a blast, it is my hometown. I will never forget that city!

(note to self, visit Chico SOON! )

Oh to be in Chico...

Let me just point out that if it was up to me I wouldn’t live where I do right now. My heart desires not to be in woodland but a few hours north of here. If I did what my heart wanted me to do I would live in Chico, CA. The place is my heart. I fell in love with it after living there 6 years or so. It’s the beauty, the energy, the small town without the small town feel, the kick back feeling, the great food, the culture, the laid back people, the night life and the amazing scenery. It’s the great friends, the sunsets, the independence, the memories and the way the town makes me feel.
My heart leads me there but the human heart can be deceiving. So the Cons are as follows: hard to find jobs in butte county, no security, friends would probably continue to live their own lives, wouldn’t see them much, family further away, and being far away from church. So because of all those reasons I can visit but I can’t live there even though my heart longs to be there and live there. The heart can be deceiving.

Here are some pics of my beloved City... enjoy!
