I remember when i was young It was so easy to meet people. I'm talking about the period of time after chatrooms were popular but before myspace. It was easy back then. If you wanted to meet people you had to thrust yourself into public situations. and I was good at it too (meeting new people).
today I have no social skills whatsoever and social networking sites have destroyed my social skills. Aside from that I really don't have a place to meet new people. I know everybody at work and I will be damned before I hang with them. When I go to the gym I do my own thing. I'm not in school anymore. The only place left is church. So, lets hope for the best, lol. Can anybody relate?

absolutely. it's saddening to me that when we were little, if you saw some kids you thought looked interesting or fun, it was totally cool to just walk up and say, 'hey... may i play, too?' now, that just doesn't exist anymore. and for me personally, after college i had so many friends move away, most of my friends i now email, phone call, etc., and have fewer around me in town than ever before. *sigh*
