About Me

My photo
I love writing. If you want to know anything else just ask me or else read up! I have two blogs ("A Pen Itching To Bleed Onto Paper" and "The Rebirth of J"). One of my blogs (A Pen...) is updated more frequently than the other. "The Rebirth” is more of a story I am writing with my life whereas "A Pen" would be my random thoughts past, present, and future in this unfolding journey I call life. If this is your first time reading my blog, please visit Post #2 for the month of April 2008 in my "A Pen" blog archives... Thanks!

My Kids and Music

When I make kids, I'm gonna have them all take voice lessons and learn at least basics on Guitar, piano, drums, and bass. If they like one in particular then they can continue to pursue it. I feel like i was deprived of learning to play instruments when I was younger so I want my kids to learn music, love music and also make music if they want. My plan is still to learn all of those basics myself but I would have loved to learn it all when I was kid and my mind was a sponge.

Just a random thought for the day.

I think that's a great idea. My parents didn't really try to keep me involved in anything. It seemed like it was more of a bother to my mom than anything and my dad would have but he had to take care of my mom.

I try to keep my son involved in what I can. He's in karate and now that he's six, he can sign up for soccer.

I would also like him to be involved in music in some way whether it be playing an instrument or in choir. Music seems to relax people. I wish I would have been involved more.

Too many parents don't give their kids that option today. With things like Guitar Hero and the computer, music and art are becoming dinosaurs.

I'm delighted to hear you kids will be exposed to a world of beauty. For music is what feelings portray. If you think about it there is a musical equivalent for every emotion there ever was in sound or lyrics. (Hugs)Indigo

I think that is great that you already have plans for your children and music. I wish I could play an instrument or sing. I've been meaning to tell you how we down here in South Texas pronunce balogna. lol We say ba-lone-ee.

LMAO! Actually we pronounce it that way as well. I just say balogna as a joke based on how it is spelled. Thanks for all of your comments Paula! :)
