About Me

My photo
I love writing. If you want to know anything else just ask me or else read up! I have two blogs ("A Pen Itching To Bleed Onto Paper" and "The Rebirth of J"). One of my blogs (A Pen...) is updated more frequently than the other. "The Rebirth” is more of a story I am writing with my life whereas "A Pen" would be my random thoughts past, present, and future in this unfolding journey I call life. If this is your first time reading my blog, please visit Post #2 for the month of April 2008 in my "A Pen" blog archives... Thanks!

Anberlin in the City!

"...The rearview mirror shows the towns we’re abandoning
Lets leave this life behind forgetting all they say
The time we have this time we’re borrowed
Stay out all night, Forget tomorrow..." -
From Anberlin's Haight St.

So i have work until 1pm. After that I’ll probably go home and change into my punk gear (no not really, I’m too old to do that now, lol) pump a bill into my car and then head out to the city. My sister and I are going down to our S.F. hood on mission and 24th street to go to Las Palmeras Restaurant. We’re gonna grub down on some Pupusas and buy "pan lido" down the street. You have got to love Salvadorian food!

After that we are going back downtown to watch Anberlin in concert. I haven’t seen them in a while. In fact the last time we saw them was in Frisco as well when they first released “haight street.” Now it is a song on their newest and 1st release on a major record label. I remember seeing them when they were a few nobodies from Florida that were opening up for Number One Gun in Chico, CA. Number One Gun broke up and lost popularity but Anberlin kept at it and I believe that they are one of those bands that is going to make it. I’m excited for them, I feel like I’ve been with them on their journey from “Blueprints” all the way to their “new surrender.” If you haven’t listened to anberlin, go check them out now. And if you get the chance to see them live, do it!
