So this morning I was researching the Holy Spirit and I just started thinking of God's love towards us. Lets look at His love through the context of the bible. He makes us, he takes care of us, and we fail him. He sets us free, he makes a path for us, and we fail him. We forget about him, we try to do it on our own strength and so we get scared, he sends us Jesus. We crucify him, we kill him, and He dies to set us free. He rises; he ascends and tells us to wait. And then he sends us the counselor; He clothes us with power from on high.
The spirit not only comforts us but also strengthens us and makes us bold! It reveals things to us and it guides us. It shows us our errors and then purifies us. God loves us so much that He sent us God in spirit form that lives within us and accompanies us until He returns. What a beautiful love He has for us!
Ephesians 5:18 commands us to fill ourselves with the Holy Spirit. Did he do that to give us a rule that we HAVE to live by? No! He did this because He knew that if We were continually filled, washed, purified, counseled, boldened, strengthened and loved by the Holy Spirit, that we would in fact be able to make it through the day, no matter how tough it is. Let that sink in! Let the Spirit Fill you TODAY!
About Me
- J
- I love writing. If you want to know anything else just ask me or else read up! I have two blogs ("A Pen Itching To Bleed Onto Paper" and "The Rebirth of J"). One of my blogs (A Pen...) is updated more frequently than the other. "The Rebirth” is more of a story I am writing with my life whereas "A Pen" would be my random thoughts past, present, and future in this unfolding journey I call life. If this is your first time reading my blog, please visit Post #2 for the month of April 2008 in my "A Pen" blog archives... Thanks!

It's definately so unfortunate that we pass up receiving this gift. How foolish man/woman is...
