To Fall In Love All Over Again...

I met you eight years ago, and it was love at first word spoken. I fell in love with your voice, your touch, your face. You were the only one that understood me when I was a young, dumb little mess with flaws protruding through my broken heart. I hope you know that you saved my life. You listened when everybody else ignored me, you stuck around even when I ignored you, and you ignored me when I chose not to listen to you. You looked right through me and chose to look to my heart when everybody else looked at my exterior. When people feared me, you approached me; when they judged me, you loved me; when they forgot me, you were thinking of me. For years you have pursued me, and all you want from me is my heart as you have given me yours since before I was born. I want to thank you for not giving up, for tirelessly chasing me. Today is one of those days that I realize that you love me more than anything. Your love for me is more than I can ever love you but I will try. Today I confess that you are the love of my life and even if I don’t always show it, my heart is yours… completely!
