About Me

My photo
I love writing. If you want to know anything else just ask me or else read up! I have two blogs ("A Pen Itching To Bleed Onto Paper" and "The Rebirth of J"). One of my blogs (A Pen...) is updated more frequently than the other. "The Rebirth” is more of a story I am writing with my life whereas "A Pen" would be my random thoughts past, present, and future in this unfolding journey I call life. If this is your first time reading my blog, please visit Post #2 for the month of April 2008 in my "A Pen" blog archives... Thanks!

Goodbye friend....

Where do I start here…
Friendship is such a difficult concept for me. I guess I expect too much from people and when they don’t meet my expectations I feel like they let me down.

Four months ago I met this person. She was hella cool. We got along great at first. We had great conversations and everything seemed to be fine. What really caught my interest was her belief in true friendship and how that term should be defined.

As the months passed, something happened, we started seeing the reality of whom we were. We were different than what we originally imagined or perhaps we never truly knew each other.

She never realized that I am the type of friend that will do anything for those I care about. I am the type of friend that hangs on no matter what. I am a true friend that believes that friendship is forever. And while it may be that she believed in friendship the same way as I did, somewhere it all fell apart.

Even as I write this I miss her, even though I didn’t know her for very long. She probably wont read this but if she does I just hope that she realizes that I do care about her and that I wanted to have a friendship with her. Maybe it’s me and my problems I don’t know. But either way, I wish her the best in this life.

Please take care of yourself, kid. God Bless you.

It seems so crazy that our lives are almost parallel. I have a very similar situation happening in my life and it has hurt like hades for me to let go. It hurts but I am taking it one day at a time and trying as hard as I can.

I'm sorry at the loss of this freindship dear one. Times like this we have to find some solace in the fact for however long your lives had a chance to cross one anothers path. Your in my thoughts dear one! (Hugs)Indigo

I'll tell you like I tell my youngest daughter. If you want friends and especially long lasting friends you have to accept each person as they are.

I like what Paula said about accepting each person as they are. That is something that I should carry with me..I have the same struggles as you with friendships.
