Nick names

I've realized that (surprise surprise) I’m pretty freaking weird! Lol. What is it with me and nick names? I think it might be in my genes as well because my Grandpa and mother were the same way. We always feel the need to change people’s names. Rarely am I content with calling a person by their birth name, lol. I always have to give people that I know nicknames. Honestly though, a lot of times this helps me remember names since I am so bad with remembering them, a defect that dates back to the beginning of my life, I still suffer with and that by the way got me into trouble with many girls in my “macking” years, lol.

Anyway, everybody that I meet, I have to give a nickname. A lot of times it will be
…Random… (ex. Stephen – Mclovin. Alim – Mad dog. Edgar – Chee-eeze. No real reason, just because
…Sometimes it could have a meaning behind it or a story… (George – suave/suavecito = metal head kid who randomly decided he wanted to listen to Malo’s “Suavecito” on a trip to Reno. Danny - Bigg Shot D – Who I saw get shot down by a girl that he had a crush on for the longest time= he was a BIG guy that got SHOT DOWN – Big Shot D! lol)
…But sometimes it can just be a diminutive… (Daniel – Dan. Paloma – Loma. You get the picture there.)
…Or a small change in the name. (Greg – Craig. Anthony – Anfernee, lol)

Anyway, I need to stop doing that because recently somebody asked me why I do that and it wasn’t until then that I questioned it! lol. Oh well, it’s what I do, and I’m not changing! Lol.
